Places To Visit In Puerto Rico

Isla Palominos

Isla Palominos
November 11th, 2014

Puerto Rico may be an island, but it’s not really the only island you can visit here. A case in point is Isla Palominos, which is just off the coast of Las Croabas, Fajardo in east Puerto Rico.

Getting to Isla Palominos

It’s not all that difficult to get to Isla Palominos. The first thing you need to do is to get a room first in El Conquistador Hotel & Casino. Isla Palomino is a private island belonging to the Alberto Bachman Glauser family, but El Conquistador Hotel & Casino rents most of it from the family for their water and beach entertainment activities.

Once you have your reservations, you can then travel from the hotel to the island. There’s a ferry boat available every 30 minutes, and the entire trip won’t take ten minutes. The boat has two decks, and you can stay on the top deck to fully appreciate just how crystal clear and inviting the waters are.

The boat trip to Isla Palominos is free of charge, and everything else you’ll enjoy here will just be added to your hotel bill. Here is a great video showcasing what to expect:

Things To Do in Isla Palominos

And enjoying yourself is exactly what you’ll be doing om Isla Palominos. The water is so clear that you need to try snorkeling to fully appreciate the place. You can also ride a jet ski for a more adrenalin-filled time. Or you can try out a paddle board, or even a sailboat.  The lifeguard services are also ever-present, so you need not worry about safety.

On the beach, there’s also beach volleyball and soccer. You can explore the island or start your morning with a relaxing horse ride. Explorers can go hiking without any difficulty, and the 50-meter summit can give you a great view of the surrounding rocky coast. You can even see a lot of iguanas around.

Relaxation in Isla Palominos

For those who want to rest and relax, there are beach chairs with towels you can use. These lounge chairs are everywhere so you need not worry about losing out.

Once you’re relaxed on your chair, the drinks will be brought to you. The service is simply superb, and no one has ever complained about sloppy or unprofessional service. This is what it means to be catered to—being on a beautiful beach surrounded by crystal clear waters, while your drinks are delivered to you, pronto.

In addition, there are several bars and a restaurants to choose from. The restaurant offers lots of comfort food, including conventional favorites such as burgers, French fries, and hotdogs. Once you sample them, you’ll want more because the food taste great. Or maybe it’s just because of the atmosphere in Isla Palominos.

Boredom will never be an issue when you’re on this island. There are numerous things to do around here, or you can just relax on your beach chair the entire day. Bathroom facilities are more than sufficient, and they’re also clean.

Isla Palominos is a great place to literally get away from it all.
