Places To Visit In Puerto Rico

JungleQui Rainforest EcoAdventure Park

JungleQui Rainforest EcoAdventure Park
January 20th, 2015

Unleash the inner Tarzan in you by spending a day at the JungleQui Rainforest EcoAdventure Park. This theme park is one of Puerto Rico’s most popular destinations. Ideal for your whole family, JungleQui will give you the perfect adrenaline rush.

JungleQui has “organized thrills” and, with a rainforest setting, you can imagine what it will feel like as you plunge into one of their river-fed, “natural swimming pools” or fly through a canopy on one of their seven ziplines. Or you can just enjoy nature walks and hikes across this park, if you are not into extreme activities.

A Natural Sanctuary for Animals

JungleQui also has a rappel course as well as snorkeling and tubing. Opened during the 2012 spring season, this huge property has the Mamayes River flowing through its forested area. Although there are currently seven canopied zip lines, it isn’t impossible for the addition of several more in the near future.

Get a breathtaking view of valleys, rivers, and the rainforest when you are around 40 to 90 feet above the ground at the zip line’s peak. This is not surprising because JungleQui has its very own ecosystem. Here you can enjoy looking out for animals living within a natural sanctuary that this eco-theme park provides them.

Puerto Rico has other zip lines but Junglequi is the only one that has the classic canopy that lends authenticity to the word “rainforest.” The staff is not only attentive but friendly and provides help for any obstacle that visitors might encounter.

How to Get There

You can visit JungleQui by driving along PR-3 in the direction of the El Yunque National Forest and then on to PR-191. Turn to the left when you see the sign and continue driving until you reach JungleQui. If you want detailed directions, do check out their Facebook page.

Where to Stay

If you plan to stay more than one day, the best hotel around the area is Hotel Yunque Mar located at 6 Calle 1, Luquillo 00773. JungleQui is only five minutes from this hotel. Here you will get a fantastic view of the ocean plus the sounds of waves in the morning, during noon, and at night.

Additionally, several beaches are between five and 15 minutes away from the hotel. At A3 Ocean Boulevard, meanwhile, is the Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn, a quaint little hotel that serves as a terrific launch point for JungleQui in particular and El Yunque in general.

A Zip Line Adventure

If you didn’t experience a zip line adventure when you were a kid (and chances are you didn’t if you don’t belong to generations X, Y or Z), you can enjoy it now in JungleQui. And if you have kids, give them this very special treat to enjoy their own zip line adventure.

All that zip-lining can make you hungry but don’t fret because there is La Familia Bakery, the best place in the area where you can get macaroons, cake, bread, etc. at reasonable prices. Or you can try the egg platter of four over-easy eggs, ham, and bread good for two people at $2.75.
